December 29, 2007 - Last month new home sales fell to their lowest level in 12 years.

December 20, 2007 - A report by RealtyTrac stated that foreclosures were down nationwide 10% in November 2007 as compared to October 2007.

December 18, 2007 - A government report this morning stated that nationwide housing construction fell to its lowest level in 16 years (since april 1991).

November 28, 2007 - In 2006, first-time home buyers accounted for 3.23 million home sales.

November 23, 2007 - A recent report by Zillow stated that 15.6% of homeowners who purchased a property in the past year, now have negative equity.

November 20, 2007 - Freddie Mac reported a 2 billion dollar loss amid a worsening mortgage crises in the USA. Subprime mortgages by unscrupulous lenders was found to be the culprit.

November 4, 2007 - Miami Beach Florida - In September 2006 there were 369 single family homes listed, and 19 hoimes sold. In September of this year, there were 427 homes for sale, and 12 homes sold.

October 17,2007 - Housing starts are down to the lowest level in 14 years according to a CNN real estate report; (see today's post on Miami Real Estate Blog).

October 2, 2007 - Pending home sales in August 2007 were the lowest on record, according to a report on CNN news.
